It’s been some months since starting Ramblings of a Filipino Nerd, and it’s been a pretty interesting ride so far. Whether it’s getting the hang of things, delving even more into researching prospective material, or getting a proper Twitter/X account for the Substack up and running, I still regret nothing. Though with work commitments and a family vacation coming up this month, it’s fair to give a quick look on what to expect next.
Some might remember this section from my December 18, 2023 post on what’s down the pipeline:
While the Comicsgate piece is up, my plans for the Third World Neurodiversity article is likely to see continued delays, at least until all the research and interview material for that have all been sorted out. In the meantime, however, I have been working on something else in relation to both the original Gamergate and Gamergate 2.0. Without spoiling too much, it involves an interview with a certain Mark Kern, who’s been right smack in the midst of both. Though stay tuned for that one!
And lastly, speaking of which, feel free to check out the above interview hosted by independent journalist Peter Pischke for his CultureScape Podcast. Originally recorded a few weeks back, I’m still grateful for the opportunity to be on it. And while granted, it’s a little over an hour long, it’s still worth a listen.
Once again, this is Carlos Miguel. And with that, see you around!
Mabuhay!
